Hibla is a single row of long, narrow beads, cut fine enough that the strand reads as one continuous line rather than a row of stones. At 43cm it sits close at the base of the neck, just above the collarbone. Named for the Tagalog word for a strand, a fibre, a single thread.
Black agate is a dense, opaque black with a smooth polish. It holds the light on the surface rather than through it, so the strand reads as one clean dark stroke against the skin.
Wear it on its own for something clean, or layer it under a longer chain so the two lengths sit apart. It reads as easily against a bare neck as it does over a collar. Made with the Hibla earrings, if you want the pair.
