NATURAL BLACK AGATE BEADS

Luha is built from beads that grow as they go, small at the top and widest at the base, so the earring settles into a teardrop rather than starting as one. Named for the Tagalog word for a teardrop, which is the shape it arrives at.

Black agate is dense and fully opaque, polished smooth and even. Graduated in size, the beads read as one continuous shape at a distance and as separate stones up close, sharp and graphic either way.

A two piece earring, worn three ways. The stud on its own, the drop hanging behind the earlobe, or the drop hanging in front of it.

Smaller in the hand than they look on the ear. Wear them with a bare neck to let the shape do the work, or with any of the black agate necklaces: Lila for something fine and quiet, Mayari for weight and presence, Hibla for a clean line at the collarbone.

Note: black agate is a natural stone. Tone and polish vary slightly from piece to piece.
